Summer is flying by this year, with beautiful warm days and perfect cool nights, just what makes the plants happy in the garden. Starting at the beginning of the month, tiny flowers began to emerge that are now blossoming into gorgeous juicy looking buds. And what fabulous aromas in the garden!

Our amazing crew - Harry, Andrew and Bella - have been so dedicated all season to faithfully watering and feeding the plants with nutritious compost teas and lots of love and care.

Swami and Nikki meanwhile have been busy in many places, educating and sharing knowledge about our beloved cannabis. Early in the month we were honored to be guest speakers at the Brownie Mary Democratic Club monthly meeting in San Francisco.
|
|
|
|
It is thanks to the founders of that Club and all their devoted work for the cause that we have legal cannabis today in California. Swami also spent a week teaching new Ganjiers their Live Training sessions up in Humboldt County. How great to know they will now share that knowledge across the world!
|

|
|
Swami Select flowers arrived in some new stores this month also, such as The Woods in West Hollywood, Erba stores in Los Angeles and Santa Monica, Synchronicity Holistic in Carmel and Jane in Santa Rosa which hosted us at the Unity Festival in Sonoma County as well as a fun Demo Day at their beautiful new store.

As the month of August wraps up, we are busy keeping a close eye on the girls in the garden, ever vigilant for any signs of bug infestations, hermaphrodite branches, or yellow leaves as the plants fully mature. And of course, breathing in the fresh smells of aromatic terpenes as much as possible!

|
|
|
The days grow shorter, the shadows grow longer, and there is already a hint of autumn in the air. We feel so blessed to be part of this magical journey.

MCA is undertaking a Pledge Drive from now to September 19 to support their essential policy advocacy, as well as their business development work helping Members bring their licensed products to market.
As the voice of cannabis in Mendocino, MCA makes sure the best interests of the entire community are represented in their advocacy efforts. In 2020 the licensed cannabis operators of Mendocino generated over $110M of economic activity within the County in a cultivation footprint of less than 300 acres. It is MCA’s commitment to continue moving sustainable local cannabis policies forward that will protect this important local resource, and to do this MCA will need the support not only of its Members but of the Mendocino County community at large.
