Following a lovely month of September, Mother Nature has decided to bless us with a heavy rainstorm in these final days of the month. While that is great for fire prevention and freshening the environment after the hot summer, it is challenging for our few plants in our personal garden. But we feel prepared. Swami "spoke" with them all this week via his kinesiology method and they clearly said that Saturday, October 4th is the day they want to be cut and come inside to dry.

So we got down to "yellow leafing" them right away (removing any dead or almost dead leaves to let the plants breathe better and help prevent mold). It could be three solid days of rain, which is kind of scary for the delicate buds, but with proper care they should be just fine and thrive in the precipitation.

|
|
As we soak in the last warm days of summer, we also prepare the ranch for winter by stashing away any tools, furniture and anything that doesn't appreciate being out in the upcoming freezing weather. The wood is piled high for the woodstoves and boots and sweaters are coming out of storage. The oak tree leaves are beginning to turn to autumn hues and the marigolds brighten up the cloudy days.

Our main outing this month was to attend the Hall of Flowers cannabis event in Santa Rosa which was a grand reunion of old friends in the industry. The Breeders Village was an especially wonderful addition to the annual event as it featured many of the top cultivators and breeders in California.

|
|
Genetics was the hot subject as growers begin to consider what they will plant for next year's crop. I know we will include the Blue Swami seeds bred by Marty Clein of Martyjuana and named after our very own Swami. What an honor!

And so summer 2025 comes to a close. It's been a really good one with perfect weather, not too hot and not too cold, and delightful gatherings of friends and family.

Swami continues to teach at the Ganjier live sessions and we feel so thankful for our strength of body and mind. As we get older, every day is all the more precious as is our beloved clan. Thank You for being there.

On the final Wednesday of September, we had the pleasure of hosting the one and only Kyle Kushman as our special guest for the monthly Club Swami Member's Meeting.
