July began with a journey to Los Angeles for a Club Swami gathering for our SoCal members. We met at subscriber Colleen King's wonderful home and garden where members and their guests shared the amazing Orange Turbo flower and hashish which were offered together in their special quarterly boxes.
|
|
|
|
While some had mehndi, which included cannabis leaf designs of course, applied carefully to their hands, others enjoyed sharing the hookah with the hash/flower combo. The community is growing and we welcome you to join the fun!

|
The Ganjier program continues to train eager students in the fine arts of everything to do with cannabis. Several certified Ganjiers are now out in the world, spreading the wisdom. Swami is always honored to be a teacher at the live training sessions held at the beautiful campus in southern Humboldt County. In July, he helped instruct two groups of students - and he claims he always learns something new himself in the process. It's all about sharing!

It's been a perfect summer here at the ranch in the Mendocino HIGHlands, as we call it. All the rains and snow last winter saturated the soil which is rich with nutrients. A real bonus is that the creeks are still running at this time of year, something we haven't seen in a long long time. While we reflect on the 31 days that we were snowed in last winter, we thank the climate gods for bringing us all that precipitation now. The sunset skies have been glorious, the plants are looking lush and a healthy shade of green, and Tipu puppy is kicked back more than ever!

The California State Fair in Sacramento wrapped up the month for us - even bigger and better than last year! Nikki and Swami were honored to again be Ambassadors to the Cannabis exhibit, which was very impressive.
|
|
|
|
Great displays, presentations, booths and even purchases made available from a local cannabis delivery company were all well appreciated by the thousands of guests who wandered through over the three-week Fair. The weekend we were there, we spoke on stage about "Cannabis Rituals Past and Present" and Swami led a guided meditation Sunday morning. While it was 106 degrees outside, inside it was cool - in more ways than one!

As we head into the heart of summer, the girls in the garden will sprout up with the coming full moon and soon their terpenes will delight us as they waft across the meadow. I can't wait! Summer is a glorious time of year!
