What a way to close out a crazy year of changes.
|
December began with Nikki fresh home from the hospital after a heart scare that the doctors could not explain. Well, I'm happy to say, this is Nikki writing here, and I am feeling so much better now.
|
It's especially good to know what happened to me, which I figured out from talking with friends in the cannabis world. I basically saturated myself with edibles, as I ate very strong cookies every night for the past 4+ years, and it eventually built up and knocked me out, simulating a heart attack that even fooled the doctors.
|
The good news is that I will be fine; my strength returns every day a bit more ... but the not so good news is that my cannabis days are over. I guess Swami needs to consume for the two of us now!

In my new sobriety, I mostly feel pretty much the same and when I need to chill out I breathe deeply and dive into the deep reserves of cannabis in my DNA. After 55 years of consumption, it is a part of me forever. I have wacky dreams every night though, some great entertainment, as 99% of them are about parties!

We finally ventured out by mid-December to a real party. A wig party!
|

We both took on new looks and I discovered that I do know how to have a good time simply imbibing in my favorite: spring water with Meyer lemon in it! I sure am a cheap date these days as I pick up the love vibes all around and soar right along!
|
|
|
|
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, winter has set in big time. Lots and lots of rain and cloudy days have been on the menu here accompanied by cozy cuddles by the wood stove with Tipu puppy.
|

|
|
Speaking of fires, we were blessed this month with a visit from the local fire crew who volunteered to come and clear brush and limb trees as fire protection in the forest near the house. What a fantastic service they offer - we love Mendocino County!
|
|
|
The holidays have been a quiet time of grateful reflection as we give thanks for good health, great friends and the blessing of living in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
|
We deeply appreciate each of you, dear friends and family, and look forward to many more years shared on this planet. Let us all protect Her as best we can, and honor her many gifts to us, including fresh air and water, organic foods and of course, cannabis.
|
As we enter a new year filled with curiosity about what it may present, we see ourselves as compassionate observers, ready to face both highlights and challenges. May 2025 bring health and happiness to you and yours.
