Along with the majestic full Beaver Moon at the close of November, the winter weather has been ushered into our little Mendocino valley. Mornings have been in the low twenties and very frosty and sitting next to the woodstove is the place to be.

The oaks have lost most of their leaves and wild mushrooms of several varieties are popping up everywhere.

The store is stocked with a fabulous selection from Swami Select as well as other craft canna farmers from NorCal. Several friends and fans came to visit and, as always, it turned into a fun afternoon, fueled by great weed!
|

Back at the ranch, the cannabis is all dried and in the curing stage now. A special bit has been trimmed to prepare for our next round of Club Swami allocations, coming up in mid-December. The featured selection this time will be Lemon Sour Diesel - LSD for short - which is even better than it sounds and truly psychedelic.

The garden is being prepped for the winter and seems oddly quiet at this time of year although the soil is constantly regenerating itself. Meanwhile, Swami is almost done rebuilding the woodshed after the heavy snowstorms last winter.
|
|
|
Hopefully, this sturdy one will withstand anything coming this season. At 80 years old, he's pretty darn amazing up on a ladder with a screw gun hard at work. Of course, he knows how to balance it all with a break to smoke a Swami fatty!

A HIGHlight in the middle of the month was a Mendo farmer's gathering at the local Grange in the town of Laytonville. About 60 friends and fellow farmers came together to swap harvest stories and flowers and enjoy some delicious food and lots of laughs.

We are so blessed with our fabulous community of craft cultivators who work and love the rich soil and beautiful nature in our part of the world.

And speaking of nature, we took a brief pilgrimage to the stunning Mendocino coast to enjoy the sound of the surf and the gorgeous vistas just before Thanksgiving.
