The world shifted for us on April 9th. That's the day our state-issued cannabis cultivation license expired and we chose not to renew it.
Many people wonder why, as we were clearly one of the best-known brands of sungrown cannabis in California. Well, there are a few reasons, such as the fact that Swami is almost 81 years old, we are both ready to devote more time to the land and our lives, but mostly it is because the system is screwed.
I hate to sound like a downer here, but I'm just being realistic. California, and specifically our County of Mendocino, has made many major mistakes over the past years which have made the business absolutely unsustainable.

The good news is that now we will have more time to dedicate to helping save the small craft farmers of the Emerald Triangle.
We know we grow the best weed in the world here, using conscious cultivation techniques in harmony with nature. It would be heartbreaking to see these farmers disappear due to high taxes and consumers opting to pay much less for mediocre mass-grown cannabis.
We have always had faith that the true connoisseurs, like you, will realize that the best is worth more and it is grown outside, under the sun, moon and stars. Please support your sungrown craft farmers!

This year, in our personal garden, we will grow: Acapulco Gold, Pineapple Haze, Pink Lion, Royal Highness, Natty Bumppo, and Root Beer x Chem Dog.
|
Meanwhile, we will grow our personal crop this year and continue doing events and education via our social media and Club Swami, so stay tuned!
|
We started our few seeds mid-month and they are happily coming along. This summer they will be joined by lots of vegetables and other flowers in the garden.
|
|
So much is sprouting around the ranch, from the oak leaves to the wildflowers. Spring has sprung!
|
|
|
Several of our fellow craft farmers were there as well as long lines around the block of celebratory customers. It was a perfect sunny day outside and big smiles and fat joints were everywhere!
|
We will always believe that the best part of this whole attempt to become legal growers has been meeting the excellent community that surrounds it.
|
|
|

We've found a wonderful slightly wacky venue in the heart of North Beach (our favorite part of town!). It's an old storefront that has been converted to a Bohemian/Victorian event space. It really feels like old San Francisco! There is a parking lot next door and another down on Vallejo Street, or take a taxi and make life easy!
Each guest will also receive a gift bag which includes a special something from our personal private reserve garden which we'd like to share with you. Other than coming to the ranch, this will now be the only way you can get your hands on some Swami flowers! And again, Swami will be rolling joints at the parties and we'll also have our 'Joint Girl' sharing her wares.
Donation: $108 per person – tickets are limited
A percentage of ticket sales will be donated to St. Anthony’s Kitchen in San Francisco. We look forward to seeing you there!
