The sunny hot days of August have been a blessing in the garden for the plants. It also means lovely warm evenings when we gather with friends for an end of day smoke and review of what got accomplished and what still needs to be done. Farm life is always busy and we love it that way.

We also spent several evenings judging the sungrown flower entries for the Best in Grass competition and came up with our personal favorites. The awards ceremony where winners will be announced takes place September 17 in Los Angeles - we'll let you know who won as soon as we know!

Late afternoons, when it cools down a bit, are also a good time to shoot videos in the gentle light. We have just begun a series describing the various large statues here where we live, mostly pieces we sent back from India over the years that range from being one ton stone carvings to lifesize bronzes. These sculptures of various deities grace the land with powerful energies yet not everyone knows their individual stories. Stay tuned for future installments and lessons.
Mid month we did venture down to the Bay Area to attend the special event honoring BPG (Berkeley Patients Group) and CBCB (Cannabis Buyers Club of Berkeley) who both were granted historical designations on the Cannabis Trail. (Swami and Nikki are honored to be Pioneers on the trail.)

The gathering of real OGs was held at the Chapel of the Flowers in Berkeley. Aundre Speciale, who ran CBCB for many years, and Etienne Fontan who is the director of BPG, were there to accept the honors from Brian Applegarth, Founder of the Cannabis Trail.

As Etienne put it, "It is our duty to transform compassion into public policy."

Amen.
Back at home, the girls in the garden are starting to show their flowers and share their scents. As we enter into September, hints of autumn are all around in the fat acorns falling off the oak trees and fewer hours of sunlight every day.
No one knows what to expect this winter with all the talk of the big El Nino season coming, and so preparations have begun to collect firewood, clean the chimneys, and set up for harvest.

The great circle of life continues and our job is to spin right along with it.

We Love You All.

SWAMI CHAITANYA: ENTREVISTA AL SABIO 420

We just came across this interview from En Volá -- the largest Spanish-language digital cannabis media platform in South America, founded in Santiago, Chile, by Simón Espinosa.

Simón interviewed Swami at the Emerald Cup in 2021 and it's really sweet -- we never saw it before as it was shown in Spanish speaking countries. Check it out!
