Spring is such a blessed time, a time to celebrate Life and Love. A time to relish the abundance and lushness of nature and the joy of coming together with our clan as we emerge from our winter caves.
This past month was the hottest March on record, which was fantastic to feel the sun beat on our backs, yet also a time to pray for the rain to return soon.
Our major celebration this month was the picnic gathering of our beloved farmer clan on a warm day in the Mendocino mountains. This was the official start of Mendo Cup season which will happen on May 3rd.
Everyone brought out their best buds to share along with stories of the last season and dreams of the one about to begin. What a special community this is, that shares tips and starts and rejoices in each other's successes. Even if they are in the same competition for The Cup.
As we wander the land noticing the tiny fresh sprouts on the oak branches and the daffodils sprouting up in unexpected places, various sacred figurines seem to also come out of winter seclusion to say hello. Somehow, they are more meaningful than ever this year.

While world leaders argue incessantly, and worse, about who is right, I am reminded of something Swami's sage father told me once:
"I like to look for the similarities in us, not the differences."
These statues which grace our sanctuary are here to remind us of this as well.
In India they say it slightly differently, "Ekam Sat Vipra Bahudra Vedanti" which translates to "The truth is one, the wise speak of it in different ways."
We pray that all beings find peace through understanding. Look for the similarities, not the differences. We bow to the greatest goddess of them all, Mother Nature, who surrounds us.
We hope you will continue to find value in our newsletters as we open the platform beyond cannabis, to include insights on community, spirituality, life's paths, lessons learned, and more.
We Love You All.

The 2nd Annual Mendo Cup
FARMER ENTRY WINDOW CLOSES APRIL 8TH!
Where: Willits, California
Back by HIGH demand, The Mendo Cup returns in 2026 with the same spotlight on the county's committed sungrown cannabis farmers, and the culture that blooms from their hard work and dedication to craft quality and regenerative practices.
There are THREE ways that YOU may be able to be involved!
- Enter The Mendo Cup as a competitor! The Mendo Cup is the only cannabis competition that we know of that redistributes the profits from the event back to the farmers! It is easy to enter for anyone who holds a CA license for cultivation, grew a full-term outdoor crop from which the entry was derived, has 10k sq. ft. or less of canopy, and is practicing regenerative farming methods. There is a great group of judges ready to saavor your anonymous entry to show the world that Mendocino and the Emerald Triangle still produce the highest and best rendition of this amazing plant that we all love.
- Sign up as a sponsor or as a vendor for the public Mendo Cup Awards and celebration in Willits, CA on May 3rd, 2026. This is a grassroots effort put on by a team of highly qualified volunteers. The farmers who enter The Mendo Cup will benefit from all event profits.
- Attend The Mendo Cup Awards and Celebration on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 at the Willits Grange in Willits, CA. Space is VERY limited for adults 21+, tickets are selling FAST already, and there will be NO ticket sales at the door the day of the event. So be sure to visit the Mendo Cup website to get your seat at the table with some of Mendo's best farmers for this community celebration.
